America Makes is one of the 14 Manufacturing USA Institutes bringing together industry, academic, and government to advance advanced manufacturing technologies in the United States. As a Department of Defense – led Institute focused on 3D printing technology and additive manufacturing, the organization is partnering with the member organization, the Food and Drug Administrative (FDA), to help meet the needs of America’s health care workers. This effort will connect the capabilities of the additive manufacturing industry with the needs of health care providers via online repository that will lead to product designs that can address supply chain shortages during the pandemic.
